Customization Methods
At Job Town Custom Apparel, we use three main methods to bring your designs to life: Embroidery, Direct-to-Film (DTF) Printing, and Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV). Each method has its own strengths, so you can choose the best option for your project.
Embroidery
What it is:
Embroidery uses thread to stitch your design directly into the fabric. It gives a professional, long-lasting finish that holds up for years.
Best for:
- Uniforms (polos, jackets, hats)
- Small logos or names
- Items that need durability and a premium look
Why choose it:
- Professional, textured appearance
- Extremely durable and washer-safe
- Adds value to uniforms and high-end apparel
Direct-to-Film (DTF) Printing
What it is:
DTF is a full-color printing process where designs are printed onto a film, powdered, cured, and then heat-pressed onto your garment.
Best for:
- Full-color designs (gradients, photos, complex artwork)
- T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts
- Bulk orders where consistency matters
Why choose it:
- Works on light and dark fabrics
- Soft, flexible print with vibrant colors
- Washes well and holds detail over time
Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV)
What it is:
HTV uses sheets of colored vinyl that are cut into shapes or letters, then heat-pressed onto your item. It’s bold, durable, and perfect for specialty finishes.
Best for:
- Names, numbers, and bold graphics
- Single-color designs
- Specialty looks (glitter, metallic, holographic, glow-in-the-dark)
Why choose it:
- Crisp and bold designs
- Many specialty vinyl finishes available
- Great for sports jerseys, bags, or one-off custom projects
